Standard Pipe Overpack Container - DOT 7A Type A container that includes a 304 stainless steel 12-inch diameter pipe weldment, rigid poly liner, fiberboard dunnage, and a 55-gallon drum. This container is approved by the NRC for shipment and storage of nuclear waste.
S-100 Pipe Overpack Container - DOT 7A Type A container that includes a 304 stainless steel 6-inch diameter pipe weldment, HDPE neutron shielding, rigid poly liner, fiberboard dunnage, and a 55-gallon drum. The S-100 is typically used by the DOE to transport and store radioactive sources. - 304 stainless steel container designed by Sandia National Laboratories. The double-walled, foam filled container is used to transport and store plutonium pits (nuclear triggers) from the former Soviet Union’s long-range nuclear missile weapons arsenal. - This canister system is used by the DOE complex for the storage of plutonium metals and oxides.
