Quality Assurance

EPD’s Quality Assurance Program is responsive to NQA-1 for nuclear facilities, 10CFR50 Appendix B for nuclear reactors, 10CFR71 and 10CFR72 for manufacture of NRC-approved high-level waste transportation and storage containers, ISO-9002 for commercial work, and 10CFR830.120 for Department of Energy work. We also maintain ASME Section VIII and Section III NPT programs for fabrication and repair of pressure vessels and manufacture of nuclear containers.

Testing Capabilities

We offer a full array of Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) services led by our own Level III ASNT Certified Examiner. Services include Radiography, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, Visual, Pneumatic, Hyrdostatic, Helium Leak Testing (plus classroom instruction and certification of Level II examiners), and Tensile/Compression Testing.

EPD also offers destructive examination with a pressure test bunker and a Type A performance-testing drop pad for containers up to 27,000 pounds.
